In this final post from Avalon, we look at the general aviation component. This is, in fact, where the greatest variety is to be found, from vintage and classic aircraft, through visiting and club aircraft, brand new products looking for buyers, to the home-built and recreational community.
All of these are represented here, with examples including the unique BA Eagle and the splendid Cessna 195, which we have also seen at Echuca and featured in Two Up Down Under, new products like the Just Super STOL and Roko Via, through gyroplanes to homebuilt aircraft of many types.
A particular nod needs to be given to the T-51 scale Mustang, the product of 9500 hours of loving metalwork and flush riveting, and to the Air Cam 2, which was reported as having been built for the specific purpose of capturing photographs for the National Geographic magazine.
There really is a wide variety here, and perhaps even in just the general aviation category, there is something for everyone at Avalon.
